    UW-Madison Outstanding Sophomores Recieve WALSAA Scholarships

    The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association recently recognized 10 sophomore students currently enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences as Outstanding Sophomores. Each student will receive a $750 scholarship for use during the 2001-2002 academic school year. Applicants received the award based on academics, school and community activities, work experience and a personal interview.

    University Of Wisconsin-Madison Team Wins Category In National Agricultural Academic Competition

    A student team representing the University of Wisconsin-Madison won first place in the oral presentation category of the 2001 Academic Quadrathlon. The competition was held during the joint Midwest section annual meeting of the American Society of Animal Science and the American Dairy Science Association, March 19-21 in Des Moines, Iowa.

    Four To Be Inducted Into Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall Of Fame

    Four people will be inducted into the Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame at a ceremony Thursday, May 3, at the Best Western Inn Towner in Madison. The Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame was initiated in 1993 to recognize people who have contributed to the meat industry of Wisconsin.

    Glen C., Pulver, Community Development Expert Dead At 71

    Glen Curtis Pulver, emeritus professor of agricultural economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 4 at University Hospital in Madison. He was 71 years old.
