Four people will be inducted into the Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame at a ceremony Thursday, May 3, at the Best Western Inn Towner in Madison. The Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame was initiated in 1993 to recognize people who have contributed to the meat industry of Wisconsin.

Scholarships worth nearly $60,000 will be awarded to students attending the Farm and Industry Short Course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences this year.

Glen Curtis Pulver, emeritus professor of agricultural economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 4 at University Hospital in Madison. He was 71 years old.

Bill Hebert Jr. has been named assistant dean for minority and disadvantaged students at the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He will begin his duties Oct. 30.
