Students from more than 150 Wisconsin high schools will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus for the state FFA A/A> Career Development Events Friday April 29.

John N. Norman, professor of soil science and environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has won the 2005 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Biometeorology from the American Meteorological Society, the nation’s leading professional society for those in the atmospheric and related sciences.

Dairy scientists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison received a variety of national awards at the annual meeting of the American Dairy Science Association held recently in St. Louis, Mo.

The UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Dairy Judging team placed third in both the traditional and practical post-secondary two year college contests held Sept. 27 at World Dairy Expo. Members of the traditional team were Cynthia Voeltz of Tilleda, Evan Brinkmeier of Dakota, Ill., Ryan Ullom of Shell Lake, and Danielle Bucholtz of Westfield.
