International Institute At UW-Madison To HOld Forum On Bio-Terrorism And Security
The International Institute of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Biotechnology Center will hold a community forum on “Bio-terrorism and Security in a World of Uncertainty,” Thursday, April 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Genetics/Biotechnology Center Auditorium, 425 Henry Mall on the UW-Madison campus.

Last Call For PDCA Judges Clinic
While summer and county fairs are still a few months away, Wisconsin dairy cattle judges need to be thinking about renewing or obtaining their Wisconsin Purebred Dairy Cattle Association judging certification. PDCA has scheduled its annual judges training for April 18 at the Vernon County Fairgrounds in Viroqua.

Eugene B. Smalley, Plant Pathologist At UW-Madison, Dead At 75
Eugene B. Smalley, emeritus professor of plant pathology and forestry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, died Monday, March 25, in Madison. He was 75 years old.

Friend Of Short Course Awards For 202
Phil Harris of the Discoverer’s Fund, and Richard and Rosemary Gall of the Carl and Mina Gall Memorial Scholarships, major contributors to the Short Course scholarship funds, received Friend of Short Course awards for 2002 from the Farm and Industry Short Course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The awards were presented Jan. 26 at the annual Short Course alumni reunion in Madison.

New Hires At UW-Madison Milk Safety Program
Sevie Kenyon and Michael J. Maroney DVM, have joined the staff of the Department of Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in support of the Milk Safety and Quality Program. Kenyon works as the Extension milk safety and quality outreach specialist and Maroney serves as Extension milk safety and quality outreach veterinarian.
