The University of Wisconsin Madison Farm and Industry Short Course annual alumni reunion will be held in Madison Saturday, Jan. 26. The reunion will be held at Jingles restaurant, 232 E. Olin Ave., across from the Dane County Alliant Center.
The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with a seminar on bio-security issues. The seminar will be followed by a social hour at 11:30 a.m. and a chicken and ham buffet luncheon at 12:15 p.m. Sherri Hicken, Alice in Dairyland, and Elton Aberle, dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the UW-Madison, will speak at the event.
Friend of Short Course awards will go to Phil Harris and Rosemary and Richard Gall. The Service to Agriculture Award will be presented to Ben Brancel, administrator of the FSA in Wisconsin. Special recognition will be given to alumni in the Half Century Club (graduates of 1952 or earlier) and the classes of 1962, 1972, 1982, and 1992.
