    Schedule Change For “Managing Hispanic Employees” Interim Short Course At UW-Madison

    The interim Short Course “Managing Hispanic Employees in your Dairy” will meet for four days, Monday Jan. 14 to Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002. The new registration deadline is Jan. 8, 2002. (The course was originally scheduled for five days.)

    Interim Short Courses Scheduled For January 2002 At UW-Madison

    Interim Farm and Industry Short Courses will be offered the weeks of Jan. 7-11 and Jan. 14-18 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The application deadline is Dec. 15.     Wisconsin 4-H Team Takes Third At North American International Livestock Exposition Judging Contest

    The Wisconsin 4-H dairy cattle judging team was third high team overall in the Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Contest at the North American International Livestock Exposition, Nov. 4 at Louisville, Ky. The Wisconsin team placed first in Guernseys and Jerseys, third in Holsteins, and fourth in oral reasons. Michigan placed first in the contest; 21 4-H and FFA teams competed.

    UW-Madison Team Takes Third At North North American International Livestock Exposition Judging Contest

    A University of Wisconsin-Madison dairy cattle judging team was third high team overall in the Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contest at the North American International Livestock Exposition, Nov. 4 at Louisville, Ky. The UW-Madison team was first in Guernseys, and second in Ayrshires, Brown Swiss, and oral reasons. Minnesota placed first in the contest; 21 teams from universities across the nation competed.

    WALSAA Elects New Leaders

    Ann Groves Lloyd of Lodi was elected president of the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association Oct. 19, 2001. Lloyd, a 1985 agricultural journalism graduate, is director of career services for the College of Letters and Science and School of Human Ecology at the UW-Madison. She is serving her third year on the WALSAA Board.
