UW Short Course Judging Team Takes 2nd At Louisville

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm & Industry Short Course
dairy judging team placed second in the North American International
Livestock Exposition (NAILE) Two-year division in Louisville earlier
this month.

Team members include Brandon Ferry (Pickett, WI), Richard Schauer
(Darien, Wis), Diane Voelz (Tilleda, Wis) and Melissa Weyland (Neenah,
Wis). The team was coached by Mark Heinze of Portage, a UW-Madison
dairy science graduate.

Brandon Ferry placed third in the high individual overall results and
Richard Schauer ranked fifth.

Known as the largest all-breed, purebred livestock show in the world,
it NAILE draws nearly 22,000 entries and approximately 200,000
visitors to Louisville each year.
