UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Judges Excel at Dairy Expo

Two students form the Farm and Industry Short Course at UW- Madison excelled in Dairy Cattle Judging at the recent World Dairy Expo contest.

J.R. Boyke, Fond du Lac, placed sixth overall individual out of more than 60 judges competing in the Post- Secondary Dairy Expo contest. Boyke also placed 10th in Ayrshires, 9th in Holsteins, and 2nd in Jerseys.

Summer Butterfield, Ladysmith, placed 8th in Brown Swiss and 9th in Guernseys. Both students will be attending their second year in the Farm and Industry Short Course this November.

The Farm and Industry Short Course operates from November-March each year with an emphasis on production agriculture and horticulture. This year”s program has over 130 students enrolled.
