Results of the 2004 State FFA Career Development Events
The 2004 State FFA Career Development Events were held April 30 on the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences campus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This year, 2,050 students from 149 schools participated. First-place team plaques and first-place individual trophies will be presented at the State FFA Convention in June.

UW-Madison ag marketers win Outstanding Chapter award
The University of Wisconsin-Madison student chapter won the Outstanding Chapter award at the National Agri-Marketing Association convention April 13-15 in Kansas City. The UW-Madison chapter took first place among 37 chapters, and has won the top chapter award six times in the past eight years. The award included a plaque and a $500 check.

Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame — 2004 inductees
The recipients of this year’s Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame award are Robert G. Kauffman, Harvey R. Rasmussen, and Reginal, Norman, Lee and David Weber. The award winners will be inducted into the Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame at a luncheon Thursday, May 6 at the Sheraton Madison Hotel. The event is hosted by the Wisconsin Livestock and Meat Council. The recognition luncheon begins at noon. It is preceded by the annual meeting of the Meat Council at 10:30 a.m.
