Mark Berres
Mark Berres, an assistant professor of animal sciences, specializes in avian genetics and has conducted a comprehensive genetic analysis of sandhill cranes in Wisconsin and beyond.
More generally, his research interests include evolutionary biology, population genetics, genomic science, biotechnology and ornithology, and he is particularly interested in understanding how biotic and abiotic processes shape the distribution of genetic variance in natural populations of birds.
