Nominations are being sought for 2003 Wisconsin Junior State Fair dairy themes. Please submit suggestions to Ted Halbach, University of Wisconsin-Madison extension dairy youth specialist, by March 1, 2003. Last year”s dairy themes were “The American Farmer Feeding the World,” and “Celebrating the 4-H Centennial.”

Exhibitors ages 12-19 will use these themes as the focus of their exhibits that promote our state”s agriculture and dairy products, county 4-H groups, as well as quality livestock. Last year more than 700 youth from 45 counties exhibited 971 head of dairy cattle at the fair.
