UW-Madison takes third in national collegiate judging contest at World Dairy Expo
For the 15th time since 1980, the University of Wisconsin-Madison dairy cattle judging team has won the prestigious Oral Reasons competition at the National Collegiate Dairy Cattle Judging contest. The UW-Madison team placed third overall at the contest; 25 national and international teams competed at World Dairy Expo in Madison.
The UW-Madison team was first in Oral Reasons and Brown Swiss, second in Red and White Holsteins, third in Guernseys, and fourth in Ayrshires. The 2004 team”s third-place overall finish continues a streak of 20 consecutive years that the UW-Madison has placed in the top five teams.
