Media invited to attend ARS safety training sessions

Editors and reporters interested in stories about farm safety are invited to attend upcoming safety training sessions being conducted for staff employees of UW-Madison Agricultural Research Stations. Topics will cover accidents and emergencies, first aid, chemical and fuel spills, and vehicle accidents and machinery breakdowns. Please follow the instructions below to RSVP.

Three identical sessions will be held:

All three sessions will following the agenda below. During the “rotation” timeslots, attendees will break up into three groups and rotate among the following three training workshops: emergency first aid; chemical and fuel spills; and vehicle accidents and machinery breakdowns.

9:00 a.m. – Preregistration, refreshments
9:30 a.m. – Welcome, introductions and training overview
9:45 a.m. – Accidents and emergencies: What to do
11:00 a.m. – Rotation #1
12:00 p.m. – Catered lunch
1:00 p.m. – Rotation #2
2:00 p.m. – Rotation #3
3:00 p.m. – Wrap up
