Media availability with Wisconsin Agricultural Outlook Forum experts

A 30-minute media availability will be held before the start of the Wisconsin Agricultural Economic Outlook Forum on Thursday, Jan. 21. The availability is set for 10:45 – 11:15 a.m. in the Scholars Room, located on the east end of the second floor of Union South.

Experts from the forum will be available during that time to answer questions, including:

Bruce Jones, UW-Madison professor of agricultural and applied economics and UW-Extension agricultural economist. Jones can discuss the status of the Wisconsin farm economy and farm production costs. A photo of Jones is available at

Mark Stephenson, director of dairy policy analysis for UW-Madison and UW-Extension. Stephenson can discuss the dairy situation and outlook. A photo of Stephenson is available at

Steve Deller, UW-Madison professor of agricultural and applied economics and UW-Extension community development specialist. Deller can discuss macroeconomic conditions influencing Wisconsin’s agricultural enterprise.

Brenda Boetel (unconfirmed), professor of agricultural economics at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Boetel can discuss the grain and livestock situation.
