CALS students in Rich Hartel’s undergraduate candy-making course were featured on a show called Forward Motion that aired on the Big Ten Network on  Nov. 19. The segment, titled “The sweet science of making candy,” highlights how this hands-on experience helps the science of candy-making “gel” in the minds of students, while also preparing them for jobs in the food industry.
