Cropp: State dairy farmers may see higher milk prices

Predicting what dairy farmers may get paid for the milk produced on their farms is a dicey piece of analysis. Slight changes in a few areas like exports, cow numbers or even the weather can make a prognosis look out of whack. That said, the recently released Dairy Situation and Outlook by Bob Cropp, emeritus professor of Ag and Applied Economics, predicts: “… the probability is better for higher rather than lower prices...” by the end of the year.
