Joe Lauer

Lauer-JoeAgronomy professor Joe Lauer is an expert on corn production, transgenic crops and cropping systems in the Midwest.

Every year, Lauer, who is also a UW-Extension specialist, leads a corn evaluation program in cooperation with the Wisconsin Crop Improvement Association. The purpose of this program is to provide unbiased performance comparisons of hybrid seed corn for both grain and silage available in Wisconsin. The results of the 2012 trial are now available on Lauer’s Corn Agronomy blog.
