On Nov. 18, 2010, CALS soil scientist Teri Balser was honored at an award ceremony in Washington D.C. for being named U.S. Professor of the Year in the “doctoral and research universities” category. The award recognizes excellence in undergraduate teaching and is sponsored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
