On Saturday, Sept. 10, the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association will hold its 30th annual Football Fire-Up at the Stock Pavilion. The Fire-Up will start at 8:30 a.m. and run to 10:30 a.m., prior to the 11 a.m. Badger football game against Temple. The WALSAA annual meeting will be held at 8 a.m.
Alumni, friends and faculty are invited to the Fire-Up. The event features music, a silent auction, and a lunch of steak and brat sandwiches, sweet corn, cheese, potatoes, chips, apples, juice, beer, milk, ice cream, and coffee. The Stock Pavilion will feature a new removable plastic floor to ensure food safety. Tickets to the Fire-Up and game are $55 plus $6 handling (quantities are limited); tickets to the Fire-Up luncheon only are $20. Parking will be available for $7 at Lot 34 (Tripp Hall), and Lot 60 for $2. Construction has made the west end of campus a mess so plan to arrive early.
To register for the Fire-Up, send a check payable to WALSAA to: WALSAA, 116 Agriculture Hall, 1450 Linden Dr., Madison, WI 53706; for more information, call (608) 262-5784.
