Deadline for Short Course scholarships is April 1

Scholarships worth $70,000 will be awarded this year to students attending the Farm and Industry Short Course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

Applications for the awards are due April 1, according to Short Course director Richard Daluge. Applications are available from high school agriculture instructors, ag extension agents or from the Short Course Office, 116 Agriculture Hall, UW-Madison, Madison WI 53706. They can also be downloaded here.The application should include a high school transcript and three letters of recommendation.

Most Short Course applicants qualify for scholarships, which average about $700. Many local scholarships are also available for supporting Short Course attendance. UW-Madison professors teach about 40 subjects as part of Short Course.
