It’s a full house for Badger Dairy Camp
Organizers of this year”s Badger Dairy Camp, June 10 to June 12 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, say that camp is full and no more registrations can be accepted this year.
“We have been extremely pleased by the response,” said youth dairy specialist and camp director Ted Halbach. “Our facilities don”t allow for more than 112 participants. We”re putting people on a waiting list, in case someone has to cancel.”
Halbach encourages people who were disappointed this year to remember to register as early as possible for next year”s camp. Dates have not yet been set for 2005, but information will be distributed through county UW-Extension offices and through news media.
Badger Dairy camp lets youth get a head start on their summer dairy project, while building award-winning judging, fitting and showing strategies. The UW-Madison Department of Dairy Science, UW-Extension and the Badger Dairy Club sponsor the camp.
