World Perch Experts To Convene In Madison
More than 150 perch scientists from nearly 30 nations will meet July 20 to July 24 in Madison for Percis III, the third International Percid Fish Symposium. Media representatives will be admitted free of charge; please show press credentials at the registration desk.
The conference provides updates on the latest research on percid fish, such as yellow perch and walleye. Featured topics will include current status and management of percid fisheries, breakthroughs in percid aquaculture, and sessions on percid ecology, genetics and physiology. The symposium will also feature special sessions on yellow perch in the Great Lakes, and on the ecology and evolutionary biology of darters.
