Organizers of Badger Dairy Camp, which will run June 12 to June 14 at the UW-Madison campus, say the camp is full and no more registrations can be accepted this year.
“We have been extremely pleased by the response,” said youth dairy specialist and camp director Ted Halbach. “Our facilities don”t allow for more than 110 participants. We”re putting people on a waiting list, in case someone has to cancel.”
Halbach encourages people who were disappointed this year to remember to register as early as possible for next year”s camp. Dates have not yet been set for 2004, but information will be distributed through county UW-Extension offices and news media.
Badger Dairy camp lets young people get a head start on their summer dairy projects, while building award-winning judging, fitting and showing strategies. The UW-Madison Department of Dairy Science, UW-Extension and the Badger Dairy Club sponsor the camp.
