The University of Wisconsin Madison Farm and Industry Short Course annual alumni reunion will be held in Madison Saturday, Jan. 25. The reunion will be held at the Coliseum Bar (formerly Jingles), 232 E. Olin Ave., across from the Dane County Alliant Center.
The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with a seminar on the challenges facing Wisconsin agriculture in the next decade. The seminar will be followed by a social hour at 11:30 a.m. and a turkey and ham buffet luncheon at 12:15 p.m. Elton Aberle, dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the UW-Madison, will speak at the event.
Short Course Service to Agriculture Awards will be presented to Rudy Van Fleet, retired Columbia County extension agent, and John Malcheski, dairy farmer and co-op leader from Pulaski. Special recognition will be given to alumni in the Half Century Club (graduates of 1953 or earlier) and the classes of 1963, 1973, 1983, and 1993.
