The Class of 2002 at Badger Dairy Camp, held June 11 to June 15 on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, numbered 111 campers from six states, including Vermont and Ohio.
At Dairy Camp, young people between 12 and 18 learn about dairy fitting, showmanship, and judging while they develop life skills in self-confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship, according to camp founder and director Ted Halbach, a UW-Madison/Extension dairy science specialist. The schedule included showmanship and judging contests, recreational sports activities, a live cattle auction and many workshops on dairy topics.
The camp is now in its fourth year. For more information about Badger Dairy Camp, go here.
