Alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison”s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will hold two fundraisers for student scholarship in connection with the UW-Madison”s football game against Western Kentucky.
The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association will host a golf tournament the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 14 at the Yahara Hills Golf Course. On Saturday, Sept. 15, WALSAA will hold its 26th annual Football Fire-Up at the UW-Madison Stock Pavilion. The Fire-Up will start at 10 a.m. or three hours before game time, which is currently set at 1 p.m.
The tournament has room for 60 golfers. The event costs $70 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart and dinner. Those interested should contact the WALSAA office at (608) 262-5784.
Alumni, friends and faculty are invited to the Fire-Up. The event features music, an auction, and a lunch of steak and brat sandwiches, sweet corn, cheese, potatoes, chips, apples, juice, beer, milk, ice cream, and coffee. The Fire-Up costs $15 for WALSAA members and their guests, and $20 for non-members who register by Sept. 10. Latecomers can register at the door for $20 per person. Parking is available in lot 62 for $7 on a first-come, first-served basis on game day, or free in lot 60.
