Ag College Schedules Golf Tournament For Sept. 11, Football Fire-Up For Sept. 12

Alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison”s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will hold two scholarship fundraisers in connection with UW”s football game against Ohio University.

The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association will host a golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Door Creek Golf Club in Cottage Grove. On Saturday, WALSAA will hold its annual Football Fire-Up from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the UW-Madison Stock Pavilion. It precedes the 11:30 a.m. football game.

The tournament has room for 48 golfers. The event costs $55 per golfer. It includes 18 holes of golf, a dinner and some great prizes. Those interested must register by Sept. 1.

The Football Fire-Up features lots of food, live band music, and an auction of donated items and services. The event costs $12 per person for WALSAA members and $14 for non-members who register by Sept. 5; the charge at the door will be $20 for those who don”t register. Parking is available at several University lots for $7 on a first-come, first-served basis on game day.
