Why do fresh cheese curds squeak? In this episode of Blue Sky Science, Mark Johnson, a scientist with the Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research, answers that question posed by eight-year-old Ruby Taggart.

Blue Sky Science is a collaboration of the Wisconsin State Journal and the Morgridge Institute for Research. Scientific questions are posed by visitors to Science Saturdays, a monthly series at the Discovery Building that features interactive exploration stations centered around a particular topic. The Blue Sky Science team then sets out to find an expert to answer the questions.
