CDR TURBO program and Whitehall Specialties, Inc. reach tech transfer agreement
The Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research (CDR) Technology Transfer University Research and Business Opportunity (TURBO) program has reached an agreement with Whitehall Specialties, Inc. regarding the commercialization of CDR’s “fun-flavored” processed cheese technology.
This agreement is a part of the TURBO program’s proactive approach to technology transfer and innovation in the dairy industry. CDR will now assist Whitehall Specialties, Inc. as they manufacture a unique and innovative style of processed cheese that has the potential for growth and success in both the United States market as well as in South East Asia
Whitehall Specialties, Inc. located in Whitehall, Wisconsin, is already a leader in producing and supplying non-standardized cheeses. With over 332 employees and a significant investment in exporting product to the Asian market, Whitehall Specialties, Inc. is a perfect partner for this technology.
“The CDR TURBO program is proud to partner with a company that values Wisconsin dairy and is working to promote innovation in the dairy sector,” said Vic Grassman, TURBO commercialization manager.
